Education:
2007-: Master in Fine Arts (M.F.A), Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.
2000-2004: Bachelor of Design (B. Des), Industrial Design department, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.
January – June 2003: Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Student exchange at the Design Department.
Professional Experience:
August 2004 – May 2007: Aqua Creations Company (Ayala Serfaty main designer), Tel-Aviv, Israel. Product designer at the development department.
January 2005 – December 2005: A part of the "Phenomenology" design group - a group of seven independent designers. Together we presented a group exhibition in "SaloneSatallite" on the occasion of Salone del Mobile in Milan and three exhibitions in Tel-Aviv.
May – July 2003: Internship in Henk Stallinga's Studio, Amsterdam.
Other Experience and Grants:
January 2005: Selected by Time Out Tel-Aviv as one of the four most promising designers for the next year.
September 2004: Grant of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, Jerusalem.
Special Projects:
October 2004 – December 2005: My single other and I had a weekly satire column in NRG (the internet version of Maariv newspaper, one of the main daily newspapers in Israel). Through common lifestyle topics (design, food, health, fashion etc.), the column critic a various range of issues concerning politics, gender, animal's rights and culture.
January-June 2002: Together with two of my friends, I published a weekly letter in the Tel-Aviv weekly newspaper ("Ha'ir") for a period of five months. The letters were deliberately vague and were supposed to reveal the weakness of the newspaper and the problematic discourse of culture in Tel-Aviv. The project was studied in Tel-Aviv University in the departments of linguistics and law.
